Dr. Rupam Das is a Diabetologist by profession. His Professional qualifications are MBBS, MD from Gauhati Medical College, F.Diab from Dr Mohan's Chennai, CCR from Symbiosis Institute, Pune, FRCP(Edinburgh).
He has over 10 years of clinical experience. He is a visiting consultant at down town hospital, Guwahati.
Dr Das has written two books in the vernacular language and writes regularly on diabetes and associated illness in the vernacular dailies Pratidin, Agradoot and several magazines.
He has several stage III and IV clinical trials completed and ongoing. Successfully set up the clinical research department at down town hospital.
He is the member of Ethics Committee down town hospital.
He was former treasurer of NEDS, North Eastern Diabetes Society and RSSDI, Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India (Assam Chapter) and member of Rotary Club of Guwahati South. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary Foundation.
